Originally founded by Hamilton Carhartt, the Detroit-based brand started by creating high-quality workwear for manual labourers and railroad workers in 1889. What first started out as just two sewing machines and about five employees creating products out of duck and denim, has now expanded into both the workwear and casual lifestyle space.

The Simple Pant has a work-inspired silhouette and is cut in a relaxed, straight leg fit from 11.25 oz Norco denim, a heavyweight cotton twill fabric. While some iterations of this style are rinsed for a softer feel, others are stone-washed for a subtly worn-in appearance. Four pockets, one adorned with the hallmark woven square label, offer ample opportunity to stash small items. Contrast stitching finishes the look of the Carhartt WIP Simple Pant, making these a versatile essential.
