Earlier in the year, we introduced two exclusive colourways for the highly sought-after adidas Originals AS 230. This silhouette was first released in the 1980s, and it has been on our radar for a while, so getting to release it was an absolute pleasure.
Now, we have got the green light on another grail silhouette – the AS 240. Two colourways will join this drop, and this elusive trainer will be exclusive to size?
The first colourway, adidas AS240 Core Black / Orange, drops Friday, July 16th, with the second colourway - Core Black / Scarlet dropping later in the month.
First, let us give you a snappy history lesson on the legendary capsule. The AS series is an abbreviation of adidas, and it was introduced in the 1980s. Each release possessed its own number, and they took design cues from pre-existing models – the AS 500 nodded to the Milano trainer. To add to their rarity, many designs were only available in Japan due to them being part of the country’s own ‘adidas Club’ line; although some made their way onto European shelves.
Due to the AS 240’s rarity, we are super excited to release two silhouettes exclusive to size?. Keeping it traditional, both shoes opt for a black base, staying true to the OG models. Buttery soft suede fills the upper on this design, joined by bold orange serrated 3-Stripes with perforations sandwiched in between. Classic Trefoil branding is on the heel, while the labelled tongue opts for a spherical patterned look. Underfoot, a brown gum sole features too, and golden branding is on the lateral sidewall for a prized finish.
The adidas Originals AS 240 Core Black / Orange arrives on Friday 16th July 2021 and it will be live online and in-store. It comes in men’s and women’s sizes and is priced at $130.
