Welcome to Liverpool. Where rhythm and blues echoed beneath the brick arches of The Cavern, and skiffle stirred into rock ‘n’ roll on Mathew Street. In tailored, sharp suits and Cuban heels, a Liverpudlian generation spun 45 rpm records that rang worldwide. 

In 2020,  adidas  and  size?  officially made history with the first-ever Liverpool model. Our original ‘Anniversary City Series’ Liverpool colourway draws inspiration from the city’s abundant past, amalgamating the historic public transport and the coat of arms, reflecting the momentous heritage of the working port, plus colours that poured opulence out of the Philharmonic pub’s lavish restrooms. The structure of the shoe? Simple. Rich green suede uppers met with yellow leather 3-Stripes and heel tabs, all resting on a timeless gum sole, an ode to tradition that lies at the heart of Liverpool. Finished with golden ‘Liverpool’ lettering, the silhouette rings to life the custom fan-made shoes which came before it.

Etched into music history and leaving a sensational legacy, Liverpool in the 60s was electric, raw, rhythmic, and fuelled by the unshakable pulse of Merseybeat. Tucked behind unassuming doorways, vibrant scenes were forming. Music, style and spirit clashed and fused, transforming a once black-and-white era into a bold metropolis of culture. Born from the docks and polished in beat clubs, Liverpool’s sound erupted into full colour. 

This is it. 5 years on, we return to overhaul the treasured Liverpool. Drenched in an orange suede with green sticking to the 3-Stripes and heel tabs, a combination full of identity and character, just like the city itself. Crinkle tongues remain true to ‘City Series’ classics, and ‘Liverpool’ lettering shines on the sidewalls. Anniversary footbeds and gum soles run under the pair, while ‘1/2025’ inscribes the heels, marking this rare release.
